Our Vrat Special Bhagar Poha is the perfect recipe to keep your energy up while staying true to your fasting rituals. Ready in just 5 minutes, it’s simple, delicious, and wholesome.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Bhagar (Barnyard Millet) Flakes

  • 1 tsp Ghee

  • 1 tsp Jeera (Cumin Seeds)

  • 1–2 Green Chillies, chopped

  • 1–2 tbsp Peanuts

  • Salt, to taste

  • Optional: Curry leaves

Instructions:

  1. Rinse flakes quickly in water and drain immediately (do not soak).

  2. Heat ghee in a pan and add cumin seeds. Let them crackle.

  3. Add peanuts and green chillies, sauté for 1–2 minutes.

  4. Add the flakes and toss gently on low flame.

  5. Cook for 2–3 minutes, mixing well. Adjust salt to taste.

  6. Serve hot – Light • Filling • Vrat-Safe ✔

Tips:

  • Add curry leaves for extra flavor.

  • Serve with a wedge of lemon for a tangy twist.
